Personal training is a career oriented to people who like fitness and enjoy helping others to achieve fitness goals. The requirements for this type of job are not too demanding. For instance, a high school graduate just needs to take a one-year course to become a certified personal trainer. Some of the most common certifications are ACE, NFPT, IFPA, ISSA and NESTA. Trainers must also have a CPR certificate.
Even though the knowledge of a personal trainer is specifically related to fitness training and care, he can use some marketing and advertising knowledge to increase his/her number of clients. The average salary of a personal trainer is $50,000 but it depends on the number of working hours, geographical area or if he/she is self-employed or works for a fitness company. Personal trainers must be great motivators; they must show a lot of enthusiasm.
