Indian Army offer very prestigious career & life . There are hundreds of  different-2 activities in the Indian Army. Accordingly, the nature of responsibilities also varies. The Indian Army consists of various arms divisions and services. For the recruitment of clerks Indian Army conducts an exam namely Indian Army Soldier Clerk Exam. The Indian Army Soldiers Clerk examination is held four times a year and is advertised in the Employment News and leading newspapers.

Eligibility for Indian Army Soldiers Clerk Exam
Nationality : Unmarried Indian male citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.

Age : 17½-23 Years.

Educational Qualification for Indian Army Soldiers Clerk : 10+2 / Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. No weight-age for higher qualification.

Indian Army Medical Standards :

A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes.

He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colours.

Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) :

To determine the Physical Fitness, the following tests carrying 100 marks are held :

1. 1 Mile Run.
2. Pull Ups.
3. Balance.
4. 9 Feet Ditch.

Marking system is as follows :

(a) 1 Mile Run

5.40 Mins and below 60 Mks
5.41 Mins to 5.50 48 Mks
5.51 Mins to 6 00 36 Mks
6.01 Mins to 6.10 24 Mks
(b) Pull Ups :

10 and above 40 Mks
9 32 Mks
8 28 Mks
7 21 Mks
6 16 Mks

(c) Balance & 9 Feet Ditch.

These are qualifying test and no marks are awarded.

Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Indian Army Soldiers Clerks written test. Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted on 4th Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul. Sep & Nov. for recruitment of Soldiers. It comprises of following two papers :

Paper – l : It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability general knowledge and current affairs. Duration of papers is 60 minutes.

Total marks : 100 Pass Marks 32.

Paper – II : It generally comprises of Maths & English (Language Proficiency).Duration – 30 minutes.

Total Marks : 50

Pass Marks : 16.

In addition to paper 1 Soldier Clerk (Sol Clk) has to qualify in their respective paper.
