Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination is conducted by the UPSC to recruit Assistant Commandants. This examination is conducted for different Central Police Forces in India namely, SSB, BSF, ITBP, CISF, CRPF etc. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for CISF and CRPF. For SSB, BSF and ITBP only Male candidates are eligible.
Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Exam is conducted by UPSC every year for recruiting personals in following services:
- CPF: Central Police Forces
- BSF: Border Security Force
- CRPF : Central Reserve Police Force
- CISF : Central Industrial Security Force
- ITBP: Indo-Tibetan Border Police
- SSB: Sashastra Seema Bal
Examination notifications are published in employment news as well as in leading newspapers in the month of May and exam is held in month of October.
Central Police Forces (CPF) Exam Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate’s should lie in range 20-25 on 1st august of the year of examination.
Both male & female candidates are eligible for CISF & CRPF but for SSB, ITBP & BSF only male candidate’s can apply.
Candidate should posses’ bachelor degree from a recognized university or equivalent. However, candidates appearing in final year of graduation can also appear in entrance test but they are required to submit degree passing proof and other required documents at some later date specified by the UPSC.
Central Police Forces (CPF) Exam Selection Procedure:
Selection procedure is divided into three parts:
- Written Test
- Physical & Medical Test
- Personality Interview
Written Test ( comprised of two papers)
Paper 1: this will be an objective type test of 250 marks which focused logical, analytical & mental ability.
Paper 2: this will be a subjective type test on Essay writing, comprehension and précis writing.
Physical Standards & Medical Test:
candidates who qualify written test will be subjected to physical & medical standard test.
candidates who qualify written and medical test will be called for an interview where candidate’s personality will be judged.
