CTET Nov 2012 NotificationCTET Nov 2012 Notification  : The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi is going to conduct  the  Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the recruitment of the candidates for the post of teacher for classes I to VIII on 18th November, 2012. Candidates can apply On-line for CTET Nov 2012 on CBSE/CTET website www.cbse.nic.in, www.ctet.nic.in.

Schedule of Examination:

Paper-I  :- 
Date of Examination – 18.11.2012
Timings – 10.30 TO 12.00 Hours
Duration – 1.30 Hours

Paper-II  :- 
Date of Examination – 18.11.2012
Timings – 13.30 TO 15.00 Hours
Duration – 1.30 Hours

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates can appear in CTET for teaching two groups of students:
  • Class-I to Class-V (Primary Stage).
  • Class VI to Class-VIII (Elementary Stage).
Group wise eligibility criteria for each group is given below:

Eligibility Criteria for Class-I to Class-V (Primary Stage) :

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Note:Relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./Senior Secondary level is admissible for SC/ST/ Differently able Candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Class VI to Class-VIII (Elementary Stage) :

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

  • Online Application procedure starts from: 1st August 2012
  • Last date to apply Online for CTET Nov 2012: 31st August 2012
  • Last date for receipt of confirmation page in CBSE, CTET Unit: 07th September, 2012
  • Last date for receipt of confirmation page in CBSE, CTET Unit from remote areas candidates (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mehgalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti Distt and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba Distt of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Lakshdweep): 14th September, 2012
  • Exam Date for CTET Nov 2012 : 18th November 2012.

Fee Details:

  • Paper-I or Paper-II, Rs 500/- (General/OBC), Rs 250/- (SC/ST/Diff Abled);
  • Both Paper-I/II, Rs 800/- (General/OBC), Rs 400/- (SC/ST/ Diff Abled)
  • The fee has to be remitted through demand draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi

Application Procedure :

  • Candidate can apply online for CTET Nov 2012 Exam. To apply online candidate have to fill an application for which is available on the official websites www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in. After filling up the complete details candidate can take the print out of their form. During online submission of application form application fees also need to submit. Which is in the form of Demand Draft.
  • Candidate need to write their registration number, name, address, and mobile/telephone number on the back of the demand draft.
  • The confirmation page, duly completed in all respect, should be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, in an envelope of size 12”x9” super scribed in bold letters Application for CTET-November, 2012 by registered/speed post so as to reach positively by 07th September, 2012 in the CBSE office, the Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board of Secondary Education, A-1, Swasthya Vihar, Vikas Marg (Opposite Metro Pillar-76), New Delhi-110092
