Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI) Entrance Exam is not any separate exam but admissions to MERI are made through Joint entrance examination (JEE) conducted by IITs. If a candidate is interested in joining MERI , he should fill up application form for Indian Institute of Maritime Studies (IIMS) along with IIT JEE application form.
MERI Exam Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: candidate’s age should be less than or equal to 25 years on 1st October of the year of examination. For SC /ST categories, candidate 5 years relaxation in upper age is given.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate should be 10+2 passed with physics, chemistry, mathematics and English.

Seat Reservation: out of total available seats (208 + 39), 15% seats are reserved for SC quota, 7.5 % seats are reserved for ST quota and out of rest, 18 % seats are reserved for OBC quota. also, 10 seats are reserved for Foreign students quota.
MERI Admission Procedure

As stated above, admissions to MERI are made through JEE conducted by IITS. On the basis of candidate’s rank in IIT JEE, his admission will be decided.
How to Apply for MERI Entrance Exam

Application forms along with prospectus can be obtained from selected branches of syndicate bank allover India. One can also obtain application forms directly in person by Indian Institute of Maritime Studies, T S Chanakya Campus, Navi Mumbai Or can send DD in favor of Indian Institute of Maritime Studies, payable at Mumbai along with request for application form to above address. Foreign students can obtain application form by sending DD of amount $ 100 in favor of Indian Institute of Maritime Studies, payable at Mumbai.
