EAMCET (Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), located in heart of city Hyderabad, on behalf of APSCHE. Examination Pattern EAMCET: Before to start doing EAMCET entrance exam preparation, aspiring candidates must go through Engineering, agriculture & medical common entrance test (EAMCET) test exam pattern to be successful in EAMCET exam.

Entrance exams question paper is based on Objective type question.

The question paper consists of a total of 160 questions in EAMCET exam.

Paper 1: 80 questions in Mathematics,
Paper 2: 40 questions in Physics and
Paper 3: 40 questions in Chemistry.

Eligibility Qualification Criteria :

Candidates who are interested to be part of EAMCET entrance exams as one of the reputed engineering, agricultural & medical entrance exam in andhra pradesh. In brief some of them are as follows ..

1.) You must have passed in the final year of their Intermediate Examination with mathematics, physics and Chemistry.

2.) You must be an Indian Citizen or of Indian Origin & must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh also.

3.) You have to complete the age of 16 years, only then you will be Eligible for this exams. Go for more detail on EAMCET eligibility qualification to avoid any mishappening before scheduled entrance time.

Final year appearing students are also eligible to apply for EAMCET exams.

EAMCET entrance Dates: In the month of April every year.

Engineering, Agriculture And Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) Eligibility Criteria

a.) Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
b.) Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended. (See Annexure III)
c.) For Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech. (Dairy), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering),

B.Tech. [Food Science and Technology FS & T)], B.Sc. [Commercial Agriculture and Business Management (CA & BM)] courses:

(i.) Candidates appearing for EAMCET Entrance exam preparation should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education,Andhra Pradesh.
OR

Candidates should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training,A.P.

(ii) a) In the case of Engineering, Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16
years of age by the date of commencement of admissions or on such other date as may
be notified by the common entrance test committee. There is no upper age limit.

b) In the case of B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (FS &T) and B.Sc. (CA & BM) offered in Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates as on 31st December of the year of admission.

d. (i) For Pharm-D course candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optionals conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, as equivalent thereto or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma Examination in Pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and training.

(ii) The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the
year of admission to the above course

FOR AGRICULTURE AND MEDICINE:

Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for EAMCET-2011..

1.) Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas
Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

2.) Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status equirements as laid down in the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

3.) A. A. For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (Ag) / B.Sc. (Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. (FS&T) / B.Sc. (CA&BM) courses Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P., with any two / three of the subjects

3. B. For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS Courses:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals including practical tests in these subjects, OR any examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry including practical tests in each of these subjects, recognized as
equivalent to Intermediate by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P.

(ii.) Candidates should complete 17years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.

3. C. For B. Pharm Course:

(i) Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. as equivalent thereto.

(ii) Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admission or on such other date as may be notified by the CET committee. There is no upper age limit

3. D. For B.Tech (Bio-Technology) Course:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals, along with the bridge course examination in mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P shall be eligible.

3. E. For Pharm-D Course:

(i.) candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the diploma examination in pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.

(ii.) The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission to the above course.

CRITERIA FOR RANKING (EAMCET – 2011 “E CATEGORY”)

As per G.O.Ms.No 165 dated 06-09-2007and G.O.Ms.No 8 (Amendment to the GO.Ms. No 16) Higher Education Department, dated 27-01-2010, the candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.

For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following..

i.) The total marks secured in EAMCET
ii.) The Marks secured in mathematics in EAMCET
iii.) The marks secured in Physics in EAMCET
iv.) The Percentage of Aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination
v.) If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given
preference over the younger.

The weightage of marks in the case of candidates belonging to the category of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders, will be decided by a committee constituted by the competent authority.

Additional ICR/OMR will be supplied for the candidates other than Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. at the time of issue of EAMCET-2011 Hall Ticket. The candidates are required to fill in the ICR/OMR Sheet and submit along with attested photo copies of the marks memos of the qualifying examination that includes Bridge Course Marks Memo if any on or before 30th May, 2011 failing which the rank will not be awarded.

Apart from qualification eligibility criteria in EAMCET, candidate must go through important exam points EAMCET exam, to avoid some important points.

EAMCET exam eligibility had designed according to the Medical and Engineering streams. The University conducts separate tests for these streams. The general examination pattern for EAMCET is given in the following lines.

* EAMCET is a single stage entrance test.
* The question paper comprises of multiple choice type questions, which carry 160 marks. Each question carries four options and the candidates have to select the right option from them on OMR answer sheets.
* The candidates have to answer all the 160 objective type questions within three hours duration.
* For Medical stream, the questions consist of the following: Physics (40); Chemistry (40) and Biology (Botany and Zoology) (80).
* For the Engineering stream, the question paper consists of the following: Mathematics (80); Physics (40) and Chemistry (40).
* For admission into MBBS/BDS programs, the candidates must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in PCB taken together in both qualifying examination and EAMCET exam.

The University has set a qualifying percentage of marks in EAMCET exam. For the general category candidates, the qualifying percentage is 25%, that is, minimum 40 marks out of total 160. There are no qualifying percentage criteria for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), but they have limitation of reserved seats.

The EAMCET entrance test is of 3 hours duration and the question paper consists of a total of 160 questions in EAMCET exam comprising of as given below…

Paper1: Total of 80 questions in Mathematics,
Paper2: Total of 40 questions in Physics;
Paper3: Total of 40 questions in Chemistry.

All questions in EAMCET exam will be of objective type (multiple choices) only and each question carries one mark.
